On Friday, October 14 and Saturday, October 15, the 9th annual Jack-O-Lantern Jaunt will take place in Field Park in Mukwonago. The Jaunt is held in partnership with the Mukwonago Chamber of Commerce http://www.mukwonagochamber.org/ to benefit Mukwonago High School Challenge Day with a donation to Seniors on the Go taxi service. Mukwonago High School Challenge day helps develop leadership in high school students. http://challengeday.org The park will be filled with carved pumpkins donated by local businesses and individuals and placed along the walking paths. Civic groups and youth groups carve pumpkins and the Jack-O-Lanterns are lit every evening from opening until close. Everyone is invited to wear costumes and view the pumpkins at their leisure. There are no monsters, no haunted hallows or creepy creatures to scare the children. This year we are pleased to feature another independent movie from Christopher Mihm, "Attack of the Moon Zombies" at 8:00. This movie is based on the 1950’s black and white “B” movies and is a lot of fun. This is a family friendly movie. It is suitable for everyone including the kids. We will again show it on the baseball field and it has a drive-in-movie feel to it. Bring your own seating. There are refreshments available, crafts for the kids and plenty of interesting jack-o-lanterns to see. The Jaunt will be held on Friday, October 14 and Saturday, October 15. There is a drive through from 6:00 PM until 7:00 PM and then the walk will continue from 7:00 PM until 10:00 PM each night. The admission is $1.00 per person and all the proceeds go to Mukwonago High School Challenge Day with a donation to Seniors on the Go taxi service. Please dress for the weather as the event will not be cancelled due to rain.
